What an exciting place – this Yarra Valley!
Last night (Saturday 14th Sep) we were at the opening of the Archibald Prize Exhibition at Tarrawarra with a few hundred others. It’s a great exhibition so go and have a look – don’t mind the thousands of tourists, they’re here spending money.
YAVA Gallery and Arts Hub has its Vincent Fantauzzo Face to Face exhibition featuring many of his great portraits complementing the Archibald. In Healesville’s main street it is a must see.
The events just keep on rolling out from here to Christmas with the Cherry Blossom and Tulip Festivals, The Yarra Valley Opera and much more. These great events add to the food, wine and attractions of the Yarra Valley and combine to bring more business to you. There are also the events that TNYV runs for you and at these you can talk to others about how to maximise the benefits from these great events for your business.
Our recent conference was a great example of this with over 50 Yarra Valley businesses learning from the excellent expert speakers a variety of ways to improve your business. Thanks to Yarra Valley Estate for the great venue and to Howard Tinker, Rex Brown, Katrina Reynolds and Rebecca Ritte for their very informative talks.
How can I use this knowledge? How can my business be involved in these events?
Our next networking event is a breakfast at Fergusson Winery at 9.30 AM on Thursday 26th September. Come along and get some answers, come along and explore the opportunities that exist for our individual businesses to grow and for the tourism business in the whole of the Valley to grow.
I look forward to seeing you soon.

There are 8 TNYV newsletters annually. Look out for additional email, text messages and Facebook communications throughout the month. Newsletter and Facebook contributions about tourism news and events in the Yarra Valley are most welcome.
If you have a venue that would be suitable to host one of our TNYV Pub Nights or breakfasts next year, let us know! We’d love to visit and promote your business amongst the TNYV Community. Next year we will be conducting 3 ‘famil’ tours visiting 4-5 member businesses on each one. Let us know if you are interested in hosting or attending one of these tours. Dates to be confirmed early next year.
Remember to invite non-members to our networking events so they can see what we are all about. Tell your tourism friends how much they will benefit having a connection to the local Tourism Network. The bigger our community, the more diverse we become and the greater tourism will be in the Yarra Valley for all of us.
