President’s Report

Happy New Year to you all!

As we noted at the end of 2018, the tourism industry in the Yarra Valley continues to grow. A range of infrastructure projects, both funded and private developments receiving planning approval are about to begin construction on top of the work that we can already see underway around the Valley.

TNYV is looking forward to a great 2019 assisting our members to take advantage of growing visitation to the Yarra Valley and to increase our profitability by growing and by efficiencies. Our planning for networking events is progressing well with our first Pub Night at Innocent Bystander being held last night and our second Pub Night to be held at Helen and Joey Estate next month.

Planning has also begun for this year’s conference. Following the success of our recent conferences the committee is planning a fresh new emphasis to give members some insight into business, tourism and how we can be a profitable unit within that industry.

Our networking meetings are a great chance to meet other members from all sorts of businesses, swap ideas, make business connections and enjoy the convivial atmosphere. It also provides you with an opportunity to talk to the committee and tell us about your problems, your successes and your ideas on how TNYV can better support you and your business.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Last Pub Night

January Pub Night was at Innocent Bystander – Check out what happened at the latest Pub Night

Next Pub Night

Save the date for February’s Pub Night to be held at: Helen & Joey Estate, Gruyere – Thursday, February 28

We had so much fun last year that we wanted to take advantage of the breathtaking views and ample size deck again while the weather was still warm to enjoy it. Prepare yourselves for a stunning sunset, delicious food, amazing wine and the company won’t be too shabby either!

Between 6-7.00pm H&J’s & TNYV will be providing charcuterie platters to share. This event is at no cost except for drinks at bar prices. For those wishing to stay on for dinner from 7pm, a delicious meal will set you back $25 per head.
