Cire Services has evolved from the Upper Yarra Community House established in Yarra Junction in 1976 to offer short hobby courses and a playgroup for the local community.
Since those early beginnings, we have expanded enormously, particularly in recent years, to offer flexible learning opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds, to further support and empower them and meet their needs.
Our core operations are Cire Community School; Cire Early Learning; Cire Training, our Registered Training Organisation (RTO); and Cire Community Hubs. We operate across multiple sites at Yarra Junction, Lilydale, Mt Evelyn, Chirnside Park, and Berwick.
In 2016 we became Cire Services Incorporated so our diverse services could be captured under one name.
Highlighting our reputation and credibility across the region, in 2019, Cire commenced operating the Chirnside Community Hub (formerly Kimberley Place) at the invitation of Yarra Ranges Council, our partner in the venture. Our Mt Evelyn campus was formerly Morrisons.
In 2020 we extended our geographical reach to Casey, opening our Berwick campus for our community school. Due to demand, we also extended our Mt Evelyn campus by opening an additional site at John St, Lilydale.
After commencing operations in Main Street, Lilydale, in 2019, our corporate services and training rooms moved to larger premises located in John Street, Lilydale towards the end of 2022, reinforcing our continuing growth.
We are proud of our long and continuous history, our vision for the future, and the fact we are a uniquely ‘local’ and expanding not-for-profit organization in the region.
We are one of the largest not-for-profits and Adult and Community Education (ACE) organizations in eastern Melbourne, are recognized as a leader for the successful and flexible education options we have pioneered for young people at risk, and have a strong reputation for the quality services we deliver to meet the needs of the community we serve.
