Historically, the Association has played a key role in local tourism for 100 years now, having been established in the early 1920s as the Healesville Tourism and Progress Association. Expanding its horizons beyond Healesville, the organisation changed its name to the Yarra Valley Regional Tourism Association (YVRTA) in 1986. And it’s current incarnation is under the trading name Tourism Network Yarra Valley (TNYV).
TNYV brings together members from all sectors of the tourism industry, with connections to the Yarra Valley. Accommodation operators, wineries, local attractions, restaurants and cafes, tour operators, trade and retail come together as suppliers, customers, competitors, collaborators and mentors to one another. With the opportunity to meet monthly at ‘Pub Night’, members meet, connect with and support one another, and keep across key issues affecting the region. Its Committee of Management is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting and is represented on the Yarra Ranges Tourism Board (YRT).
